01:12:06 - We changed hosting companies and this will allow us much more disk space and bandwidth to support more movie clips and large files. With our previous host, we had to remove several movie and music clips, but those have been reposted. In celebration of the new host, we added 5 MORE deleted scenes to our collection of Movie Clips.

12.30:05 - There are 536, that's right, 536 new Storyboards in the Image Gallery. All are from the "Special Edition" DVD.

11:26:05 - The Image Gallery was updated with 99 new images of Cut Scenes (DVD captures only). Find them under "Misc Movie."

11:24:05 - In the "Costumes" category of the Image Gallery, there are 20 new images. All are from the recently released "Special Edition" DVD.

10:31:05 - There are 24 new images in the "Never Appeared in the Movie" category in the Image Gallery. Included are shots of Kate Winslet posing in her various costumes and the extremely rare photographs from Old Rose's dresser.

Have you found the hidden clips on the Special Edition DVD? After searching, we think we have found all of them. If you view the "DVD Credits" under "Special Features" there are 3 clips listed. Here is how you can find them on the DVD:

  1. "Titanic: Lost Ending" skit from "Saturday Night Live" (season 24, episode hosted by Bill Paxton):
Click on "Deleted Scenes" then select scene number 29. Move your mouse over the couple standing in the background, then click on them.
  2. "Titanic Spoof" skit from "MTV 1998 Movie Awards":
From the main manu, click on "Marketing," then click on the ticket in the lower right hand corner.
  3. "Titanic in 30 Seconds" by Jennifer Shiman, courtesy of Quattro Media:
Go into "Special Features" then select or click on "Production Artwork." If you are on your computer, move your mouse over the big arrow in the background.

10:28:05: The Image Gallery was updated with 49 new images (scans only) of cut/deleted scenes, 47 of which are from the recently released "Special Edition" DVD.

10:25:05: The "Special Edition" DVD of Titanic was released today and it does not disappoint. There are 29 deleted scenes, hundreds of still images, featurettes, storyboards, and much more. As a long-awaited and special treat, we have posted 5 deleted scene movie clips. We will be adding stills from the DVD to our gallery.

10:24:05: The official Titanic website has been the same since we were all counting down to the release of the movie. A new site has been posted for the special edition DVD at titanicmovie.com/us/home.html. Unfortunately, there is less content, no new wallpapers or downloads, very little information about the movie or the DVD. Nevertheless, there are some new images and a trailer with glimpses of some cut scenes. More importantly, the Special Edition is being released tomorrow! 09:22:05: In anticipation of the "Special Edition" DVD, Fox International has unveiled a "microsite" with 6 full-length deleted scenes, a trivia quiz with more deleted scenes as a reward for correct answers, and 2 scenes of "Titanic Revealed," which is the original cut with trivia that pops up on screen. We want everyone to get to see the deleted clips, so we have provided the questions and correct answers to their quiz. The "Titanic Revealed" scenes are rather useless because of the commonly known "trivia" that pops up, such as the date and time Titanic sank, and large gaps in time between them. For detailed, uncommon facts about the scenes of the movie, visit our "Scene Facts" page.

09:20:05: Fox has posted a trailer for the "Special Edition" DVD. Thanks to our visitors and especially Corey Ann for the tip. Captures of deleted scenes and "behind the scenes" shots from the trailer are below.

04:30:05 - As part of our "Today in Titanic History" project, we also collected dates from the making of James Cameron's movie. A timeline of these date have been added to the Film Information section.

04:24:05 - The B2T section went through a much needed update. The FAQ was revised and the staff pages were removed. The banner and bug exchanges have been discontinued, because the service we were using no longer offers them.

04:05:05 - The entire list of over 1,800 important dates in Titanic History have been posted. Watch for them on the left side of every page or search for a certain day, month, year, or keyword on the Today in Titanic History Search Page.

04:04:05 - Our largest project, a year in the making, has been introduced today. We have compiled a list of births, deaths, marriages, and other events in the lives of Titanic's passengers and crew, milestones in the history of Titanic, and major dates for James Cameron's movie. Every day there will be a list of what happened "Today in Titanic History" on the left side of our website. In addition, you can search through this extensive list on our Today in Titanic History Search Page. Curious what happened on your birthday? Maybe you are searching for important dates for a certain passenger? You can search by day, month, year, and even keyword. NOTE: Only April is available currently. Other months will be available this week.

03:30:05 - A whopping 15 new MP3 songs have been posted in the Music section. These are rare full-length tracks you are not likely to find elsewhere.

03:29:05 - For the first time in our seven year history, we have posted MP3 and WinAmp Media music files relating to Titanic in the Music section. This first batch are incredibly rare remixes, alternate versions, and even a previously unreleased demo version of "My Heart Will Go On." There will be more tomorrow.

03:26:05 - Real pictures (from the 1912 tragedy) of the "Life Aboard" are available in the Image Gallery.

03:20:05 - We are proud to announce that Real pictures (from the 1912 tragedy) are available in the Image Gallery. Also, a visitor let us know that the scene "A Secret Meeting" in Act II was incomplete, so a third page of DVD captures have been posted.

03:18:05: In the years since Titanic came out on DVD there have been rumors online about a special edition. We've been petitioning James Cameron and his representatives to release a Fans' Edition (because Cameron won't call it a Director's Cut since he was satisfied with the original). At long last there was an official news conference covered by DigitalBits.com with images of James Cameron announcing the release will be in October of 2004. There will be a 2-disc Special Edition and a 4-disc Collector's Edition with cut scenes, unused footage, and the ability to branch away from the original cut into the deleted scenes. Finally! Thank you to everyone who signed our petition for this to happen, though it is at long last. As soon as there is an official day of release there will be a countdown available to post on your Titanic websites.

01:02:05 - New DVD captures, VHS captures, and scans were added under the scenes "Tilting" (Act III) and "The Promise" (Act III) in the Image Gallery.
