1888 - 3rd class survivor Miss Kate Connolly was born.
1912 - Day 24 of the British inquiry into the Titanic disaster in Westminster, London, England, UK. Witnesses called that day: Professional Member of the Marine Department of the Board of Trade Alfred Young, Captain of the Canada Richard Owen Jones, Captain of the Atlantic Transport Line Edwin Galton Cannons, and Surveyor for the Board of Trade in Belfast Francis Carruthers.
1974 - Steward and survivor Mr Leo James Hyland died at the age of 81.

Since December of 1997, Titanic fans all over the world have been reading books, creating webpages, visiting these webpages, writing fan fiction, watching the film repeatedly, and expressing how this movie made them feel through words and art. There is yet to be an official fan site to appreciate and acknowledge the loyal fans of the movie and its real-life history.
