1883 - 3rd class survivor Mr Eugene Patrick Daly was born.

1972 - 3rd class survivor Mr Fridtjof Arne Madsen died of natural causes in Brooklyn, New York, USA at the age of 83.

1963 - 3rd class survivor Mrs Waika "Mary" Nakid died of pneumonia in Waterbury, Connecticut, USA at the age of 70.

1998 - James Cameron's movie "Titanic" was released into theaters in Peru, the UK, and Denmark.

Leontine Pauline "Ninette" Aubart (often misspelled as 'Aubert') was 24 when she boarded the Titanic with her maid Emma Sägesser. Aubart was a singer residing in Paris, France.

Aubart occupied First Class Cabin B-35 on the Titanic and held ticket number PC 17477, £69 6s. Aubart was also the mistress of Benjamin Guggenheim, another First Class passenger.

Aubart managed to escape the sinking Titanic with her maid on lifeboat 9. Upon her arrival onto the Carpathia, she sent a marconigram to Paris stating that, "I'm saved but Ben is lost."

During the twenties it is said that Aubart gave many rowdy parties that resulted in the police coming to break them up. She eventually died at the age of 77 in 1964.
