People: First Class: Hudson Joshua Creighton Allison

Hudson Joshua Creighton Allison, son of Jesse Rose Allison and Pheobe Johnson, was born on December 18, 1881 in Chesterville, Ontario in Canada. He met his wife, Bess, on a train ride home. They married on his 26th birthday against her family's wishes. She was 21 at the time. They were the proud parents of two children, Helen Loraine (born June 5, 1909) and Trevor (born May 7, 1911).

The entire Allison family went to England during 1912. While in England they had their son Trevor baptized in London and bought two dozen horses in Scotland. They also picked up some furniture and hired some household staff members. The Allison's changed their travel arrangements at the last minute to travel on the Titanic with some friends.

The Allison's boarded the Titanic in Southampton with ticket number 113781. They occupied cabins C-22,24 and 26. Hudson and Bess in one cabin, Helen Loraine and her maid in the second and Trevor and his maid in the third.

When the Titanic struck the iceberg, Alice Cleaver immediately took Trevor Allison up to the boat deck and left with him on Lifeboat 11. The Allison's were not aware that Alice had taken baby Trevor off of the ailing ship and they refused to leave until they knew he was safe. All of the remaining Allison's died on the Titanic.
